Now Welcoming Small Businesses and Handmade Artists

Sometimes I can’t believe that Making This Home will be turning two years old very soon. It’s helped me continue writing and building my voice. It’s connected me to so many beautiful people (like you!) and taught me that living big does not mean living better. Or at least it’s not better for me, and I feel so happy and confident in my decision to choose more simplicity.

I hope that maybe joining me here every day has offered you some really great things, too.

Sending Not-So-Serious Mail

Outside the window is the most beautiful rainbow right now.

I’ve been writing silly postcards and upbeat letters to family. It’s one of the greatest ways to let my creativity flow. I know they won’t judge me for sending them ridiculous jokes, so I will sit with half a dozen postcards in front of me and just start writing. I can just be me and let that goofy side we all have buried deep inside come out – laughing! (I started sending random postcards last summer.)

Since starting Making This Home, I’ve gotten to know so many really cool people. I’d like to know a little more – who you are, what you love, and why you like reading the ol’ blog here. I really like building a community of people with a few like-minded ideas. Today I need your help.

A Fresh Spring Look!

I think you’ll find it much easier to find information from past articles and topics you’d like to read more about. Plus everything is just so much cleaner, and as Martin puts it, “It’s so much more you, Katie.” Which I think means it’s also so much more YOU.
