Right Now: Mid-January

Right now:
- It is 9 degrees outside. I’m dressed in long underwear, snow pants, and my warmest wool sweater.
- I’m skating on the rink before the sky turns dark, and it feels like magic.
- I’m wondering why I’ve waited so long to lace up my skates again.
- Two young boys step out of their warm house for the briefest of moments. One has a trumpet. He starts playing Taps. The other boy removes the American flag beside their door. Then they run back inside while I glide around.
Try this:
Grab your journal. Jot down a few nuggets from your “right now”. Date it. Maybe snap a photo, and add that, too. Tada! You’re done.

I love this post Katie! I felt like I was right there with you (watching you though because I don’t skate). It was fun to be part of your “right now” moment!
