Christmas Journal, Peek 2

Christmas journaling is always the journal project that results in the biggest messes on my table. I’m not really buying scrapbooking supplies; I’m using what I have. I’m constantly ripping things out of magazines, playing with old stickers, cutting up Christmas cards, and grabbing all the cool bits I come across.

During the holidays, there are a lot of cool bits of life floating around.

This year is no different. Here are some peeks in my “Joy to the World” Christmas journal (I’m using the XL one with European paper):

keeping a holiday journal

Page One: I’m using a quotation I ripped out of a magazine last Christmas, a date stamp, Martha Stewart craft tape, stickers I’ve had, and double sided tape. The green envelope came with the journal; I tucked this blog post inside it.

Page Two: More Martha Stewart craft tape and a sticker. The xoxo was ripped off a Hallmark ad in a magazine. Date stamper again (love that thing!). The green paper is from the Christmas expansion pack at Gadanke. I’d adhered everything with double sided tape.

Page Three: This was the first page I wrote in my journal (right after Thanksgiving) because I wanted to make sure we didn’t get wrapped up in the season and neglect a few moments that would be important to us. I love the red and green Italian paper in these books! Everything else on this page came from the Christmas expansion pack at Gadanke. Again adhering with double sided tape.

Past Pages: I shared the embellishments I added to my journal’s cover here.

Hope they inspire you!

What will your Christmas manifesto say this year? It can be something you write down or just something you carry in your heart.

Psst.. How is your Christmas journaling coming? If you’re sharing any peeks online, leave me a link. I’d love to see!
