Welcome March (and Mr. Fox!)
Hello little February fox in my parents’ yard. I bet you’re ready for spring. Me too.

But if I remember right, spring doesn’t come here until May or June. So we’ll just have to sit tight.
I’m sure you have lots to do in the meantime. I know I do! Here’s a couple of things we’ve got going on this month:
- putting together a few wholesale orders at Gadanke
- planning an awesome little birthday party for Martin
- making an Irish meal for St. Patrick’s Day (pinching Martin because he always forgets to wear green)
- reading The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin from the library and Conscious Living: Finding Joy in the Real World from my own stash. Ben Franklin sounded interesting in a it’s-clearly-the-dead-of-winter kind of way; Conscious Living is fascinating and in need of a second read.
- sending birthday notes to siblings and in-laws because March seems to be the birthday month mania
- sewing a tea cozy – the towel over the teapot every day is feeling kind of weird
- buying jeans – with the No New Clothes Challenge running for almost two years, our jeans can’t take it
- posting a few peeks into more readers’ journals at Gadanke
I’m sure we’ll be shoveling more snow, too. You even got some on your face!

Did any of you catch the latest National Geographic Magazine? Apparently some foxes are being bred specifically for domesticity. I could see where the curiosity in such research could come from. Isn’t this guy the cutest?
What’s in store for your March?

So that’s what healthy foxes look like! So precious. I just want to rumple his fluffy fur!
I am used to the mangy skinny foxes in our neighborhood (it’s tough in suburbia) and they look nothing like this guy :(

I’ve heard that Ben Franklin’s autobiography is really good. It tells how he had self-improvement goals for each month of the year?!

New jeans or pre-loved?

Teri – new jeans. We’re so tall it’s hard to find jeans that are long enough anywhere around here.

Karen, the part of his self-improvement studies has certainly been the best part so far.

What an adorable fox! They are one of my favourite animals (if I had a spare 100 000$ lying around, I might look in to getting a domestic one, haha). It’s so nice to see a great picture of a wild one!
