Right Now.
Hi everyone! A bit of bad weather hit, so I haven’t made it back to the tire house quite yet. The green business award ceremony in the capitol was awesome. I’ll show you a few quick photos as soon as I can get back home.

This picture is of my grandma peeking at her newborn sister in her mom’s arms in 1919. I found it in my dad’s iPhoto. He’s got so many incredible family photos. I think I spend hours looking at them every time I’m here.
I’m hoping I can stop by my grandma’s place one more time before heading back home tomorrow (if all goes well!).
Right now, I’m spending time with family. We’re baking cookies, learning family history, making pottery (including my grandma!), and spotting a sneaky fox in the backyard.
What are you doing right now?

That is such a sweet photo! You are lucky to have family history like that.
Right now: getting ready to brave the storm and head back to the office. Lots of work yet to be done today.

Just finished installing a new light fixture in my bedroom, a compromise between the chandelier I wanted and, well, the fact that my husband didn’t want anything hanging low (granted he is very tall and there is no reason for him to be hitting his head in his own house.) But I wired it in myself and everything! And I think my enthusiasm for changing out light fixtures is now finished. It is a lot of work to do change them out. Why don’t they use plugs on the ceiling too? It would be so much easier to just plug in a new light….(I’ll try to get a post up about it later today if you want to see my beautiful, sparkly, shiny light fixture:)

Katie, how did your dad get that old picture onto his computer?? Can you ask him for me?
I have many old photos as well and I would love to be able to store them digitally just in case
the real mc coys ever faced a disaster.
Just got home from the dentist– no cavities for my two teens. YAY!!

Wow what a great photo – I don’t have nearly enough old family photos…
Right now I am listening to Matt trying to talk Fiona into brushing her teeth while I am alone downstairs editing my blog posts for Thursday and Friday (I do hope you stop by for them!) and drinking a glass of prosecco. I will start cooking dinner momentarily!

Cool picture! We just got a scanner so I’m looking forward to digitizing some old photos.
Right now I’m sitting on my bed while my 6 year old son sings melodies. He’s about to fall asleep so they are kinda random. In the other room, my husband is playing classical guitar and our other son is getting in bed.

Right now I am doing some of the record keeping for our homeschool. When I’m done I need to get my order finished up for this year’s garden because it ought to have been done a month ago! Then I have to start getting things ready because I get to go away next week. My honey has a work convention next week and I get to go along. The kids get a week at their Grandma’s house. Everyone is very excited about the whole thing!

After I read your post about the Ecostar Award, I thought I would try to attend (seeing as it is just a few blocks away…) Well, it did not work out for me to be able to be there. But I am so happy for you and glad all went well and can’t wait to see photos! That picture of your grandmother is amazing! I have been slowly working on getting the old family photos scanned to iphoto. But it is kind of tedious so I have not been making good progress.
Sounds like wonderful family time for you today. I just finished cleaning up the kitchen after dinner and am supposed to be doing my taxes, but am checking in on some blogs to procrastinate. :)

Ladies, I’ll certainly talking a little more about old photos – like where to find them, what to do with them, etc. Thanks for the requests!

Deedee, awwwww, you are so sweet. Thanks for thinking of me. We’ll make it work one day for sure.
