Happiness From What We Already Have

This page of Grit Magazine caught me in my tracks today. It completely reminded me of this discussion last summer. I’d love to hear what your thoughts are on this Irish Proverb. It says:
A dog owns nothing,
yet is seldom dissatisfied.

I think the proverb is incorrect. Every dog I have ever had has owned my heart. The peace the stems from securing unconditional love by just being themselves may be the lesson we can really take from dogs.

Cathryn, it sounds like you’re learning a different, very awesome lesson… dogs don’t ever judge the ones they love, do they? so cool
