Don’t Forget: Decluttering Project #2
Don’t forget. Today’s the day to check in on how we’re all doing with our second decluttering project.
Are you ready?

We’ve got a full plate of projects going on around here today, so I’ll hop in with updates on my second decluttering to-do and see how you’re doing just a little later.
p.s. Have you read this children’s book about a little girl tempted by her parents’ world of 1933 aviation? It was on my bookshelf when I started my Decluttering Project #2, and I couldn’t stop reading. Children’s books are so fun, don’t you think?
Welcome September!

We finished the garage this weekend! YAY!
The only thing left is my wedding dress. Tried to donate it to charity, but it’s seven years old and they wouldn’t take anything older than five years. Not sure what to do with it…

yeah for your garage success, Janna. That’s so inspiring! Some really good ideas for wedding dresses came up in the comments here:

Maybe something there can help. Nothing over 5 years? Interesting!

I have a dress from a wedding I cancelled. The consignment stores my mom and I tried said nothing older than 2 years. It’s crazy. We’re going to try Ebay, but if that doesn’t work we’ll just donate it.

I finished #1 (my bathroom cabinet) and #2 (guest bathroom) this week. #3 is guest room closet – saved the best for last!
Yay for the garage, janna. Good luck with the dress. I cannot believe they won’t let you donate your dress. I can see not paying you for an older dress, but how funny they won’t let you give it to them for free.

We did the attic. Gosh there was stuff there we hadn’t used in 10 years. Plus I condensed three large boxes of photos down to a shoe box size office box. We held a garage sale and got rid of about a quarter of our stuff. We will continue to clean out, but my husband didn’t really want to do this, so this was huge. He got into it once we got going.

At the moment I have organized stacks of paper spread across the office floor, waiting to be filed properly. Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better…

I accomplished my goal! Whoo! I decluttered my first aid kit – while small (so the clutter really wasn’t taking up much space overall), it had a good impact. Now all the things I need are organized and I’ll be able to actually find them should the need arise!

Oh you all are awesome. Way to ACCOMPLISH those goals.
