I'd post a picture of my stockings, but I didn't get them out this year. We are not going to be home for Christmas.
Maybe next year I will blog on them.

In the spirit of Christmas, come to my blog and leave a comment for a giveaway

Your stockings are ADORABLE!!

I can not sew at all and was complaining about how I can't do anything handmade or any mending to a friend and she told me about iron on patches and an iron on seam thing (not sure exactly what it is called). Anyway, I found them for cheap at a store nearby and managed to hem a brand new pair of jeans and fix an older pair that had holes worn into them. I have been wearing those two pairs of jeans nonstop since I fixed them and feeling like a rockstar :) Oh and I took takeout food containers (that I had leftover from a catering job years ago) and stamped cute snowflakes on them and curled blue & white ribbon on the top and filled them with homemade fudge for our neighbors. As far as the new year, I'm considering making my own calendar out of scrapbook paper & stamps that I already have, if one doesn't show up in my stocking!

These are just precious!

I've started taking on a bunch of sewing projects and I love the all-powerful feeling of "I can make that!"

First task for the new year: faux-fur dogbeds for living and bedrooms, to keep the guys cozy when I skimp on the heat. Then the long-awaited drapes for the living room, and insulated roman shades for the bedrooms.
