Oh Katie. Mr. Savvy laughed long and loud at the mixing up of clothes and newspapers — mostly, I am sure, because it’s something he would do.

My family’s big favorite is A Muppet Christmas Carol. Last year, we sang along with the songs. It’s pathetic. It’s also not available on Netflix (gasp!), so I may have to make a special trip down to Connecticut just for some movie time.

Wow. I love every movie listed, right down to Magoo! But I am obviously REALLY missing out. We haven’t seen Love Actually.

I’m with your other writers…..so enjoy the movie “While you were sleeping” and the “Christmas Story” is a blast too! Also, have added a new one over the past 3 years…”The Christmas Card”! Just love this new find of a movie! Play it all the time!

I second the vote for Love, Actually as a real favorite in our house.

I also recommend Christmas in Connecticut, a cute 1940′s romantic comedy about a Martha Stewart type newspaper columnist who has to unexpectedly make a personal appearance. Trouble is, she’s been faking her persona for years. It is very cute and sweet.

You did make me laugh! I am a classics/old movie gal. I love White Christmas, Holiday Inn, The Bishop’s Wife (very old black and white movie) It’s a Wonderful Life . . . along with Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol, the Muppets Christmas Carol, and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to please the “kid” in me. What a joyous time of year!
