Inspired Giveaway: Light Things Up
Well drats. The days are getting shorter now. Before you know it, we’ll be turning on the lights just to have dinner again.
But I don’t think one of you is going to complain when those days come because guess what. CSN Lighting is leaping in to give a lucky reader one of their fantastic ceiling lights. Yep. Things could be looking a whole lot brighter for one of you.
This ceiling light from CSN Lighting – called the Triomphe Semi Flush Mount series – is designed by Kenroy Home, a brand that’s been a leader in the lighting community. They strive to stay above the trend in home decor, and I am already wishing we could replace our discount bedroom light in Berlin with something this classic. Then I change my mind and start thinking about the living room or above the dining table. Where could you swap an outdated light for this beauty in a cocoa finish?
Or maybe this one in oil rubbed bronze?
Then again, maybe brushed steel is better still?
Whatever your pick, the stylish folks at CSN Lighting are ready to make your future a whole lot brighter. Here’s what’s up for grabs:
The prize:
One winner in the United States or Canada will receive a Triomphe Semi Flush Mount ceiling light (winner’s choice in color) valued at $102.
How to enter:
Leave a comment below (one entry per household) telling everyone about the people and things that light up your life at the end of the day.
For an extra entry consider:
Leave an additional comment for each of these things that you have done with a quick note like “twittered” for your added entry.
Deadline:
Entries must be received by Monday, June 29 at 8:00 pm EST. The winner will be announced the following day.
Lots of luck to you!

Wow, this is an awesome light fixture. I would get the brushed steel one to replace the too-dim light that I picked out for our foyer. My family lights up my life! And I light up when I get to sit and read through my blogs.
June 25th, 2009 at 4:38 am
Oooh! i could use this in my entry or craft room!! my husband lights up my life :)
June 25th, 2009 at 4:41 am
Would you please be quiet! I don’t want to hear how the days are getting darker. We’ve had so much rain that we haven’t seen the sun for a month now anyway. What lights up my life at the end of the day? My family and during the summer my garden bouquet on my table.
You’re already on my blogroll:

Yay for including people from the Great White North :) I was just talking with my best friend about how I need more light in my living room. Something that lights up my day are the awesome comments I get from my friends / followers on my goal setting website / blog 43Things.
And for a bonus entry, I’m already a follower of yours, I sent you a reply about how to make yummy Bittman burgers. Especially because I knew that it’d be up your alley, but also because I want to stop people in the street and tell them too :P

No matter what kind of day we have, I try to crawl into bed with both of my kids each night and have a little bit if snuggle/alone time with them. Just to hear “I love you mom” or something funny come out of their mouths, its the right way to end a day!
June 25th, 2009 at 6:42 am

What lights me up at the end of the day? My husband. When he get home from work and walks through the door the first thing out of his mouth is “you know what I haven’t gotten all day?” He usually means a hug and a kiss!
Also I will be putting this on my twitter shortly! :o)
June 25th, 2009 at 8:54 am
That is one gorgeous light and I would be thrilled to win it. After nearly 26 years of marriage, my husband still lights up my life at the end of every day. I stop whatever I might be doing when he walks in the door and he kisses me like he hasn’t seen me in months. He is the light of my life.
June 25th, 2009 at 9:19 am
I love seeing my husband and sitting down to dinner with him at the end of the day. Even when we are both tired we make an effort to have a nice dinner and spend the evening together.
June 25th, 2009 at 10:02 am
My husband and I are on a slow and steady crusade to replace all of the light fixtures in our house. I think I would probably put this one in our guest bathroom, which at the moment is awfully dark… thought it might go well in our living room too… or I could design our master bedroom around it… My husband, of course, lights up my evenings when we both come home. And my pets…. having dogs and cats who greet me at the door makes me feel loved and wonderful.
June 25th, 2009 at 10:15 am
We are moving soon (oh oh please, make it sooner than soon) and I’d love to have something this new and simply gorgeous in our new home. We are going to be looking for a fixer, so I am SURE this would be put to good use.
Cheers,
Kiy @ RC&T

For sure the two people who can always light me up are my husband, Michael, and little girl, Sarah. They are the reason I do what I do as a stay at home mom and I couldn’t be more blessed.
I know exactly where I would put this light fixture, too. Pick me!
June 25th, 2009 at 11:42 am
Remember me? Well, I am officially tweeting, all because of you.
The things that light up my life at the end of my day:
As cliche as it is, at the end of the day, a good book or maybe even a quick peek at your newest post on my laptop while I’m curled up in bed, my little sisters giggling at the foot, and my kitten jumping up in my lap as I turn out the lights. Those are the things that light ME up.
June 25th, 2009 at 12:10 pm
To hear my daughter laugh, that is what brightens up my day!
June 25th, 2009 at 8:17 pm
At the end of the day, when my family – near and far – gathers around their tables and joins hands, we join hearts by speaking the names of those who bring joy and love to our hearts…and that’s what lights up my life.

I just became a first time homeowner 2 weeks ago! Its a major fixer upper. It’s going to be at least a month until we move in since almost everything needs to be replaced, fixed, or updated. Everything costs so much money and is such a challenge to do. But everyday when I get home from work, I go over to my new house and work on it. Little by little, it will become perfect. As hard and expensive and crazy as this whole thing has been, it’s so rewarding because it’s MINE! my home light’s up my life.

My kids light me up at the end of the day. I’ve heard all these horror stories about what it’s like having a teenager in the house, but both of mine are as sweet and thoughtful as they’ve been since they were little…. well… maybe not during the Terrible 2′s :-) I don’t know what I did to deserve them, but I’m grateful for them EVERY day of my life.

I have to say first Jesus lights up my day, every day.
I have just recently started living for Jesus, I always knew of him but never lived for him, I just lived
every day of my life in sin against my Jesus that died on the cross for those sins. I have repented, been baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Ghost and by his wonderful grace each day he forgives me when I make a mistake. Your day just can’t get any brighter than God’s grace

The people that light up our lives at the begining and end of the day is our children – and what makes it so special is that we see us in them and them in us. :)

Things that light up my life at the end of the day:
At the end of the work day: Family
At the end of the evening: A long, hot bath by candle-light, jazz music in the background and beverage of choice (which varies with my mood!)
This lighting fixtures brings back a distinct memory for me, I’d love to win it, the first one shown in the cocoa finish! I missed getting the apartment of my dreams by seconds (thanks a stupid, late realtor) and in the dining room of this apartment was this very same fixture. It’s odd how things go around and come around. Maybe I wasn’t meant to have the apartment, but who knows? I might have been meant to have the light fixture! :-)

My family is the best.

At the end of the day, sharing a meal, drink, or cup of coffee or tea with good friends over conversation and laughs really lights up my life, as does calling home to my parents or sister after a long day at work or school. When I’m by myself, an absorbing book or movie really does the trick as well. Thanks for the giveaway – it’s a really gorgeous light!

I love the cocoa finish and not sure if it would go in the entrance way or the living room.

I really like the brushed steel light. Great contest. My kids and my husband light up my life. I even enjoy hearing them fight at dinner.

Wow, I really love the brushed steel especially. My kids and dogs light up my life, but my grandson illuminates it in a way that makes my whole world shine brighter.

Family is what makes my day bright, especially the children. They are always honest and it encourages me to be more honest with myself and not hide behind excuses.

in the cool of the evening, a mere 85 degrees,( I avoid the heat of the day) i stagger slowly back to the house after watering my garden. my Dad walks outside and plugs in the outside light in the carport. my Mom pages my phone, telling me to come inside, the street lights are on. when i come inside, my home-on-summer-break college-age son brings me a cup of coffee. my heart lights up and my life is complete.
