I have to say that I LOVE your open your windows post. I reread that in today’s post and I literally stopped and went to go and take off the winter plastic off of all of my windows and install the screen in the back door so that I could let the beautiful spring air into my apt.

Thanks so much for the inspiration!

I’m also slowly buying greener cleaning products. Just picked up these reusable sponges… we’ll see how they survive their first washing, but so far I like them :)

When we first moved to Germany I took a walk everyday in our small village to discover and enjoy all of the new things around us. I still find taking a walk in the sunshine is the best way to relax and slow down, and it’s also a great time to catch up with my husband and have a long conversation.

I totally took a photo of my load of pink laundry a few weeks ago…seriously, the entire load was pink. I hear you on the simply gifts!! Great post! So relevant. Thank you for linking up and for sharing the importance of embracing a simpler life. No multi-tasking required.

I’ve been very aware of this lately. I’ve become aware that multi-tasking takes me OUT of the moment. As the mom of two small children, it’s how I’ve learned to cope. But honestly, I don’t think it has to be done like this. This week, I’ve been trying to single-task. I’ve got to tell you…it doesn’t come naturally, but I’m being diligent about trying.

Thank you for the insight. . .I too look around at all the beautiful homes and things that others have, and feel that I don’t have enough. It can be difficult, but I am trying to enjoy the wonderful things I do have!

I know exactly what you’re talking about. I always feel like I have to be doing more than one thing. I can’t watch TV or listen unless I’m also on my computer or reading a book. If I do, I feel like I’m wasting time. If I’m in my car, I feel like I should be listening to a book or language cd’s. My mind is constantly on what else I could be doing instead of what I’m doing then and there. I’m trying to correct that though. Thanks for the reminder.
Now, when are we going to find out what you’re doing this summer??????
