I love all of these ideas! Can't wait to give some of them a try, especially the emroidered writing one. I love making hand made cards and usually reuse old catalogs or magazines to cut out images and to create collages. My favorites involve cutting out pictures of me and friends and using them to complete a magazine collage, showing some kind of funny imagined scenario... us hiking in the mountains, on a yacht...etc.

I just came across your site and I love it! I'm biased because I love Germany having spent 4 years living there (and two more in Austria), and so I'm loving the cross-cultural aspect of your site in addition to your mentra of simpler living. Great work, I'm looking forward to being a regular reader now!

haha! Good point, Christy. I brought that hole punch with me from the US. I probably got it at JoAnn's Fabric.

I've heard of people finding tiny punches in Germany at the euro store (like dollar store-haha!), though I haven't come across anything like them myself.

Oh and one more thing I meant to comment was your line about "we used a heart shaped hole punch"....like everyone has one of those. Too funny! Where did you get that? Michaels? Or another type of craft store? You know what I would love to see, and I bet your other readers would to? A post about your crafting supplies and where in the world you keep them in that tiny home of yours!
