Take Me Home, Country Roads
As much as I do love life in Germany, I have to admit that I really, really love going back home to the ol’ United States. And thanks to my little brother – my newly engaged little brother! – it looks like a trip to the homeland is in store for late in the summer. I feel like blaring a little John Denver.
Besides, Martin and I LOVE weddings. Don’t we, Martin?
…Oh geez. I am SO dead for publishing this picture. But how could I really, truly skip it? Please, please distract my husband and tell us if you’ve got any summer plans in the works. We promise not to “accidentally” bump into you there unless you’re coming to Berlin. (The New York Times just announced Berlin is #4 in the top 44 places to visit in 2009, not that we’d push you to come visit us and the city we’re hooked on or anything.)

How cute are you guys? That photo is adorable. I like that you have all the leaves in your mouth.
This summer, let’s see…..dh’s oldest niece is graduating from HS this year so as her gift we’re bringing her over here for a week or two this summer and taking her around Germany and to Paris (she’s really excited about Paris). I think dh and ds are going to Italy for some Boy Scout thing (ds is a Cub Scout), but I don’t sleep outside, so if I go, it will be to a hotel. ;) I might try to work Berlin in though if I have time. Or if you guys need a quickie vay-cay, you could come see me in Heidelberg! I have a guest room!

Our 35th is coming up, and we have been talking about Italy. *sigh* never been there. I am pretty excited.

I love that photo! You two look too cute!!
My husband and I are going to Norway in June, for our friends’ wedding. We met them in college, and have been wanting to visit them ever since they moved back to Norway. When they set a wedding date, we knew it was the perfect time!
We’re flying into Germany.. does that count, too? :)

I’d love to get back to Europe this summer, but don’t have any plans just yet. I would also love to go back to Maui :) because we had such a great time there in October.
