i think u are all crazy. i love my food i'm over 550 pounds. I love reading this. It makes me so hungry. I live for food. I'm to big for my bed now & i get very depressed. You know what, everyone? I think Christina is totally wrong. it’s easy (as an American) to lose weight in Germany. Well except for the ice cream. Oh the ice cream!

nicole, i think you're absolutely right about being sure you're EXPERIENCING the place where you live. I don't feel like our choices listed above have compromised our experience (like avoiding packaged food or buying American imported products).
You mentioned living a high rolling life. I don't live that way in America, so I wouldn't find happiness living one in Europe, either. But it all comes down to our individual perspectives in making sure we're celebrating the life we want to live, right?

I really liked reading this. I love that you see vegetarianism saves you a lot of money - I have been telling people that forever. You seem to be enjoying your life, which is utterly awesome! On the other hand, whn I think of European life, I envision a high rolling, vibrant lifestyle! I know you're saving money but you ought to treat yourself to that life every now and then or being in Europe is pointless. It's like, sort of a bad comparison here, visiting a pizzeria and not eating authentic pizza for each day you work there.

I love that your house is compromised entirely of tires too.

Dear Katie, you have an awesome blog! <3 it! The way we save in Germany is by doing our ow hair trimming and of course cooking our own food! also.. every weekend all the Departmental stores give out pamphlets for the offers in the coming week..so each sunday we sit and see which store is offering a discount on what item! saved a pretty bit with that! :)

Love,
Poonam.

Hi Anna. I'm sorry to say that I can't help you with any of your questions. Just like anywhere else, the cost of living varies from city to city and neighborhood to neighborhood. I don't have kids, so I don't know anything about that either. I've never been to the area you're thinking of, so I send you huge wishes for GOOD LUCK and an awesome time!
