It’s a Contest! Name That Bird.

Some cities have black birds and crows, and most cities have pigeons.  But not Berlin.

We see a few crows and blackbirds.  But mostly, we see these:

I really have no idea what they are.  Any guesses?

I call them the Half-Breed Birds, a mix between pigeons and crows.  But I’m willing to consider any other creative names (or you know, actually, genuine names) you all might have for these weird fellas.  Share your idea for a name and the winner will get… umm… I guess I could try to catch one of these birds for you.

Eww I don’t think those birds are very cute, but then again I’m not a big fan of birds in general…strange, I know! My grammy is a birder, if I can log on to a computer with her at Christmas time, I’ll see if she can name them, if someone hasn’t already done so by then!

This is a German crow. If you google German crow picture, you will see them. More decorative than the NA all black ones, aren’t they?

Just wanted to come over & introduce myself. I saw you stopped by Sarah’s at thriftydecorchick’s. Don’t remember if I’ve stopped by your place before or not. Happy Holidays! Isn’t it hard living in such a small space?

They are hooded crows, or Nebelkrähe in German. One almost dropped a nutshell on my head the other day!
