I haven't much time to write so just wanted to say I seen your page and totally agree with you.
I love America for its peaceful democracy at work
I love America for feeling like I can vote for whomever I wish without political pressure
I love America for the lemonade, the BBQs, the wide open spaces, and all the joy that comes from the opportunities to enjoy these things and life.....
this is all true….. This is all true, thank you. Peace.

I LOVED this post! It is amazing to me that you took the time to vote via e-mail. I love hearing someone who lives so much (physically) removed from our country still has such fond feelings for it. So much so, that you would still take part in the democratic process. You said some great things!

I voted because I believe it is my civic duty and obligation. I stand by the motto "don't complain if you don't vote." I also like knowing I am playing a role in the direction my country is going which was especially true in this election.

Not enough people realize that politics impacts literally every aspect of our lives whether it's the roads you walk and drive on, the quality of your schools, or even the cleanliness of the air you breathe. If you don't vote, you aren't fully participating in society and are basically saying you are just going to let things happen TO you instead of trying MAKE things happen and be an agent of change.

Wow! I wasn't aware that he made his way to Germany, but it looks like it was an exciting visit. Good for you for voting even though you presently aren't in The States. Too bad everyone HERE can't feel the same sense of duty.
