I stand by the motto "don't complain if you don't vote." I also like knowing I am playing a role in the direction my country is going which was especially true in this election. Not enough people realize that politics impacts literally every aspect of our lives whether it's the roads you walk and drive on, the quality of your schools, or even the cleanliness of the air you breathe. If you don't vote, you aren't fully participating in society and are basically saying you are just going to let things happen TO you instead of trying MAKE things happen and be an agent of change. I voted because I believe it is my civic duty and obligation.
