Hi Charolette. Our kitchen is in Germany; Miele is German and rare in the US. Just like any rare German product in the US, the dollar sign is bigger than the euro price tag. Hope that helps.

Great pictures and terrific remodel. I live on a perfect, natural barrier island on two idyllic acres, yet in a 27 ft RV named ROSY btw that I remodeled this summer. Visit my blog. The post is called Coming Up Roses. I love your Miele (I use a toaster oven - 50 bucks; and a two burner cooktop, $36. that I put away on top of the toaster oven every use) The Miele prices at $3,000.00 here on my google search. Did you really pay three thousand dollars for it or is that just the price in the US. Beautiful and creative job! Cheers, Charlotte in South Carolina, USA

Anique, I think your best bet is to actually contact a Miele distributor in your area. We went to a little mom and pop shop, which was just perfect. They had books of dimensions and products to pick from.

What a great find! I am moving to Switzerland and will have a tiny kitchen as well. I know this is a Miele oven/microwave, but could you tell me which model and its dimensions? I basically have to build my kitchen into a bookshelf!

Wow, what a great job you've done! Thanks for the inspiration that I needed to get started on my little 1930s Cape Cod's small kitchen! I found your blog via Apartment Therapy, and have already bookmarked it for future inspiration!

Melinda - yes, Germans shop more frequently than Americans. The food quantities are smaller, and the mantra seems to be "shop for what you need now", not Costco-size-it. The grocery stores are faaaar smaller and more frequent. They're easy to walk to or bike to.

I love the description of your little kitchen. I hope you love, love, love it once you incorporate your new ideas.
