You People Are Genius
When we decided to paint our living room/kitchen area pale yellow with one brown accent wall, we were a little nervous. But you were there with a warm hug to tell us it was okay.
When we brought home a shocking yellow couch because it was the only one available in the warehouse for weeks and we wanted somewhere to sleep, you again assured us that we weren’t completely crazy. AND THEN when I admitted that I had no clue where to go with accent colors, you were there for us again.
And you know what? All I can say is that you people are genius. We sanded and varnished a sample kitchen cupboard and wedged it into the corner to see how things looked. We’re still working on the whole vase not being a tupperware container issue.

What a butte! (I always wanted to say that.)
See? Pure genius! I love how the burgundy and pale pink-red of the flowers look. A little bit of green, a bunch of cabinets, and I think we’re set.
Now go treat yourself to a few extra pieces of Halloween candy because you have given us quite the holiday treat, and we are so, so thankful.

Came to say hi. I can just imagine what it would be like to get used to “everything small” in Europe. Everything’s bigger on this side of the ocean.
The apple jam looks delicious!

Love the “shocking yellow” couch, but then I love yellow! Almost every wall in my house is some shade of yellow.

Welcome to your first Pink Saturday, Katie.
I love what you have done so far. You’re off to a great start. And, don’t worry about the Tupperware. One day it will become a beautiful vase.

It all looks great together! We have buttery yellow walls in part of our house and I love them….Thank you so much for your email this week! It was very much appreciated. I’m enjoying looking around here. It is amazing to me how much smaller everything is there. That would really make the creative juices kick in on how to make it all work. It’s fun seeing the progress you’re making. I’m looking forward to watching it all happen!

looks great! I’m going to paint my sewing room an antique looking yellow with green trim , yellow is a scarey color to work with but I think I will love the outcome

Thanks for your kindness, all! I especially love hearing the way some of you describe your yellow walls. antique, buttery… we’re going to have to come up with a charming adj. for ours now.
And a big welcome to another Katie.
You all keep me going.
